MUGS Annual Fundraising Project

Thanks to incredible alumni, friends and family members, MUGS is able to continue to take trips each fall and spring break to various sites of geological interest in the United States!
Our aim is to do at least one additional day trip per semester to collect fossils or minerals and observe geological phenomena in our region. Each year we raise money to support the transportation and equipment costs associated with these trips, with the goal of increasing appreciation for geology at Miami University and strengthening the skill set of our undergraduate and graduate level geologist at Miami. As geologists, it is important to get field experience and see as many rocks as possible, so our organization's goal is to get students out there and looking at geology!
Experiences like these are invaluable to students like us and help better prepare us for our future careers. However, they are not possible without your support. Would you consider making a gift and helping us reach our new goal of $1,500, which would go toward transportation costs including vans and gas, lodging for weekend or weeklong trips, entrance fees to national parks and equipment such as rock hammers?
