Congratulations to Jordan Vest (junior) and team members Claudia Dawson (senior), Jessica Patrick (junior), Lauren Doepke (sophomore) and Zoey Siebert (sophomore) for being awarded a competitive $7200 M.I.A.M.I. WOMEN Giving Circle 2020 award!  All five women started collaborating as part of the NSF-funded GEOPATHS program in our department throughout 2019.  Their 2020 funded project will develop a technique for detecting women's makeup in crime scenes using reflective spectroscopy to combat violence against women.  Drs. Mark Krekeler and Claire McLeod serve as faculty mentors.  Preliminary results were presented virtually by Vest et al. at the 2020 North Central GSA Meeting in May.  Congratulations ladies!
