Teaching
Dr. Hardin teaches courses in popular culture, consumer culture, culture studies, popular media, political economy and cultural economy, focusing on the importance of debt, credit and finance in everyday life.
Research
Her research examines the connections between financial trading and everyday life. Dr. Hardin combines cultural studies and political economy approaches to contextual analysis to examine the claims of financial economics and reinterpret the role of finance in contemporary culture and life.
