Education Abroad Application

Deadline to submit applications is Friday, April 15, 2022, by 5pm!
Preference is given to majors and minors in the Department of GRAMELAC as well as to students without access to other sources of study abroad scholarship funding. Available funds are reserved for students based on the viability of GRAMELAC programs, or, if not applicable, then for student support based on need and merit. The number of scholarships is determined according to available funds. The committee, with input from the GRAMELAC department chair, determines the number of scholarships available in increments of $500 for summer or semester or year-long study abroad; $250 in the case of winter term programs.
Grants awarded to students attending a Miami sponsored program the funds are disbursed to the student's Bursar account ten (10) days before the program is scheduled to begin. The Department Admin. will email a list of awardees to the Education Abroad Office so that students may short pay their tuition the amount awarded. The balance will then be paid once the funds are disbursed by the Student Financial Aid Office.
Grants awarded to students attending a study abroad program NOT sponsored by Miami, speak with the Student Financial Aid Office to find out how the funds are disbursed.
