Work in Progress
Dr. Buck’s research focuses the cross-straits exchange of ideas in China and Taiwan, on mass participation in knowledge production and reception of official state ideology in twentieth century China and Taiwan, as well as on the intersection between classical and modern revolutionary philosophies in the Chinese context. He is currently working on publishing a journal article and on revising his dissertation, titled “The Great Chinese Cultural Debate: Revolution and Renaissance Across the Taiwan Strait, 1973-1976,” into a monograph.
