The requirements for a major in Microbiology are virtually the same as those which will qualify students to apply to Medical, Dental and Veterinary School. Requirements for entrance to all three professional schools vary somewhat, but the most important courses for each are listed below.

Medical School

*Beginning in 2016, Ohio State Medical School recommends, but no longer requires a semester of Anatomy.

Veterinary School

The requirements for admission to Veterinary School are less uniform than those for Medical School. Experience in the following courses is, however, highly desirable.
