What is the Brain Bee?

The Brain Bee is a neuroscience competition for teenagers that aims to inspire and motivate the next generation on how they can make a positive impact as a professional in the neuroscience field.

The Brain Bee hopes to motivate students to learn about the brain, consider neuroscience as a career path in order to help research, treat, and find cures for neurological and psychological disorders.

Location: University of Cincinnati - Medical Science Building, Room E255

1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded!

The 1st Place winner is eligible for the National Brain Bee Competition!

General Information

The Brain Bee tests knowledge of the human brain including topics such as intelligence, emotions, memory, sleep, vision, hearing, sensations, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, schizophrenia, epilepsy, depression and addictions.
  • Open to all high school students, parents, teachers, and guests
  • The Regional Brain Bee Competition Day Schedule may include:
    • Opportunities to discuss science and academic careers
    • Tours of neuroscience research labs
    • Discussions with OMV neuroscientists, research professionals, and students
    • A chance to meet clinical and research Neuroscience faculty at lunch

Study Session 1 will be on November 23rd, 10 AM - 12 PM

Study Session 2 will be on December 7th, 10 AM - 12 PM

Study Session 3 will be on January 18th, 10 AM - 12 PM

Study Session 4 will be on January 25th 10 AM - 12 PM
