Careers Involving Quantitative Skills Day

Sponsored by the College of Arts and Science and the Sonia Kovalevsky Fund

CIQS Day is a day to celebrate girls, women, and others underrepresented in STEM. Students will visit Miami’s campus, interact with students and faculty, be exposed to presentations from various Miami academic departments, and be able to have conversations with working women in STEM fields with high-caliber quantitative skills.

Last year, for example, about 160 students participated in interactive workshops such as:
  • Social Media Analytics
  • Helicopter Design Challenge
  • Zipcodes, Barcodes, and UPCs
Both breakfast and lunch are included.
