"Hi! My name is Afua Addo and I am from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I went to Homestead High School before coming to Miami University. I am a biology major with a co-major in pre-med, and I am so grateful to be a part of the LSAMP program! I attend the weekly study tables and the monthly meetings, as well as completing the requirements for the program as a first-year student. I also talk to prospective students interested in STEM majors who could possibly attend Miami University next year. I’m involved with LSAMP, BSAA, was on the Miami Gymnastics Team first semester and hope to be involved in even more."

"I am a mechanical engineering major from Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been a part of LSAMP since August, where I participated in the Early Arrival Program. LSAMP has been an outstanding source for my academic success. I have learned about how to reach out to faculty and how to be more of a leader. I am the secretary for Black Student Action Association, I am also a member of the Miami University Gospel Singers, and Bridges Scholars."

"My name is Bethany Owoeye, and I’m from Centerville Ohio. I’m afirst year at Miami University. I have been participating in LSAMP ever since the early arrival program in August. I really appreciate the study tables and opportunities that LSAMP has provided. While the study tables give help with certain subjects I may be struggling in; they also provide a time to relax and study with others. During my time at Miami I also participate in MUGS (a gospel group), BSAA (black student initiative), and ASU (African student program)."

"I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio with a major in Statistics and Analytics. I have used the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program to mentor other college students and help guide them through the challenges of college. Before I was an intern at the Center for Analytics and Data Science at Miami's campus, I was a tutor at the Rinella Learning Center. I also became President of StatHawks, a statistical student organization on campus. In my free time, I enjoy to sing in Miami University Gospel Singers."
