Professor Emily Brown is an Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the Physician Associate Program. She has had a passion for science and clinical practice for several years, rising to clinical site education in hospitalist medicine.

Beginning her career in microbiology research laboratory and pathology, she continued her studies and career, becoming a clinician. Her first practice interests took her to California, where she practiced Family Medicine and Urgent Care, before returning to her hometown in Ohio, favoring hospitalist medicine. In this role, she refined her clinical practice and bedside teaching acumen as a clinical preceptor over the past four years. Recognizing that her organizational skills, practice experience, and passion for student mentorship would be served in academia, she joined Miami University and entered a clinical leadership role. She is excited to serve in this role as an academic curriculum builder, student mentor and clinician to university liaison.
