Didactic

The physician associate studies program offers an amazing didactic experience, using modular learning concentration built around organ systems, which is offered within our new state-of-the-art clinical health science and wellness building.

In addition to several lecture auditoriums, the program curriculum is offered in a nine-bed cadaver lab, a health science and innovation center with two anatomage tables, a large wet-dry simulation lab, twelve standardized patient exam rooms, and an eighteen-bed diagnostic skills lab.

Training will also include nearly 10,000 square feet of simulation resources. This space includes: three focused adult and one pediatric general simulation labs, one obstetrics and gynecology with neonatal response space, one inpatient medical surgical and critical care room, a temperature-controlled operating room that also serves as a trauma bay, a home health/concierge health model, four debriefing centers, three simulated provider work stations, moulage room and more.

Our project is not only building a center of health excellence training, but to foster an interprofessional, interdisciplinary vision. The program aims to develop a compassionate, dynamic, well-rounded, professional clinician who has an interest in rural medicine and clinical research to enrich the medical sciences- as a member and leader of a healthcare team.
