Assistant Teaching Professor of Fashion, Department of Art

226 Boyd Hall

Della came to Miami in 2015 to develop the new Fashion Program. Her specialty is designing and making original textiles and apparel.

After running her own women's apparel design company for nearly two decades, Della earned an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2005. Since then, she has been creating award-winning, one-of-a-kind textiles and apparel which have been exhibited internationally.

One of Ms. Reams’ recent scholarly projects focuses on designing and making machine-knitted textiles featuring Arabic calligraphy patterns for apparel and home, inspired by living in Qatar for seven years. She is currently part of a creative research cluster designing digitally-printed fabrics inspired by artist paintings, made into one-off dresses for future exhibition.
