Double major, add a minor, study abroad. All are ways for you to make your degree uniquely yours.

To become a major

Step 1: Apply to Miami
Complete the First-Year Common Application or Transfer Application. Indicate THEATRE (FA86) as your intended college major (or the major you wish to transfer into if completing the Transfer Student application).

Step 2: Schedule and complete an interview. There are many options available for you including:

  • At one of our admission events
  • Over Zoom
  • During an individual campus visit

Theatre Day

for sophomores, juniors, and seniors

Friday, February 10, 2023
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

Tour the theatre department, attend classes, and meet students. The schedule will be flexible. Join when you can! 

Senior interview slots will be available in the afternoon.

Timelines for Scholarship Consideration

Department of Theatre scholarships for incoming students are awarded based on materials presented in the University application and the department interview.

HIGHEST PRIORITY will be given to students who complete their interview by November 15. Students unable to interview by this date are strongly encouraged to interview no later than February 1 for best scholarship consideration. More on scholarships »
