The Cosmos Trio, founded in 2004 by flutist Katherine Borst Jones, violist Mary E.M. Harris and harpist Jeanne Norton, has released their first CD with MSR Classics, American Premieres.

The CD features commissioned pieces by Andrew Boysen Jr., Donald Harris, Libby Larsen, Stephen Main, Stephen Paulus and Dale Warland. All pieces were commissioned and premiered by COSMOS, often with the ensemble working directly with the composer. Pieces have been performed frequently and at the conventions of the National Flute Association in 2008, the International Viola Conference in 2010 and the American Harp Society Convention in 2014.

Letters from Home for flute, viola, harp and two sopranos (Christine Mortine and Lucy Shelton) by former Ohio State Dean, Donald Harris, was premiered on the Ohio State 2011 Contemporary Festival which featured works by the composer.

Mary E.M. Harris is professor of viola and member of the Oxford String Quartet at Miami University. Borst Jones and Katherine Norton are faculty members at The Ohio State University. All are members of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra.
