Assistant professor of communication design and director of the C7ollege of Creative Arts bachelor of fine arts degree, Erin Beckloff, was featured on The Art Show on CET channel 48 on Saturday, October 6 and on CET Arts on Sunday, October 7 for her dedication to Letterpress.

Former Miami student, Krista Adkins '13, enjoyed Beckloff's Letterpress Printing course and recommended that her dedication to the art be featured on The Art Show, including her documentary film Pressing On: The Letterpress Film. When asked what it was like to appear on the program, Beckloff explained: "It made me nervous to be on the other side of the camera, but I am incredibly proud to share my teaching, as that is such a joyful part of my life, as is introducing students to letterpress printing."

Beckloff taught letterpress at Miami's CraftSummer, and that transformed into semester-long courses for Miami students. The popularity of the courses led to reviving Miami’s original letterpress studio, now the Curmudgeon Press type shop, named after its founder Tom Effler. Miami University's Curmudgeon Press has now offered courses in letterpress printing since 2011.

The episode also highlights the third annual international contemporary ceramics competition in Zanesville, OH and The Lighthouse Guild in New York City which is home to the only community music school in the country for people who are blind or visually impaired.
