Music Department Partners to Present Music Series for Community

Miami Piano Students Present the "Tickling the Ivories" Recital Series

The piano students of Dr. Siok Lian Tan from the Department of Music at Miami University are presenting a recital series titled "Tickling the Ivories" as part of a service project for the Miami University Institute for Learning in Retirement. The recitals include works by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Poulenc, Bartok, and Muczynski.

There are four recitals in the series on Wednesdays, April 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Oxford Community Arts Center.

This year marks the seventh year that the piano studio has performed the series with sponsorship by the Oxford Community Arts Center.
