Miami Piano Students Present Recital Series as Part of Service-Learning Project

The piano students of Dr. Siok Lian Tan from the Department of Music at Miami University are presenting a lecture/recital series titled "Tickling the Ivories" as part of a service-learning project for the Miami University Institute for Learning in Retirement. The recitals include piano works by Bach, Bartok, Beethoven, Chopin, Copland, Debussy, Gershwin, Grieg, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Schumann, and Scriabin.

There are four recitals in the series on Wednesdays, April 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Oxford Community Arts Center. This year marks the eighth year that the piano studio has performed the series with sponsorship by the Oxford Community Arts Center. The Oxford Community Arts Center provides, celebrates and promotes a diverse array of cultural and arts programming, performances and exhibits in Oxford, OH.
