Best Game Design Program badgeThe Miami University Game Design Degree program has been identified as one of the top ten programs in the United States for 2022 by Intelligent.com. The College of Creative Arts program placed in three categories; Best Online Game Design Degree Program, Best Game Design Degree Program and Best Schools for Video Game Design. The research identifies programs in the nation based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost, and reputation.

 

The Games + Simulation degree at Miami University provides students with an interdisciplinary plan of study covering all aspects of creating and interpreting games. With a focus on making and practice, the BS in Games + Simulation prepares students for a career or graduate study in game design, development, 3D modeling, creative development, writing or designing, esports, and games in other industries, all while encouraging students to take creative risks, to build things, and to think critically about audiences, narratives, and aesthetics.

 

The Games + Simulation degree prepares students for careers in a rapidly growing industry. According to We PC, the Video Gaming Industry was estimated to be worth $178.73 billion in 2021. Recent forecasts are estimating the video gaming industry to be worth $268 billion by 2025.
