The piano students of Dr. Lian Tan from Miami University Department of Music are presenting a recital series entitled "Tickling the Ivories" as part of a service project for the Miami University Institute for Learning in Retirement. The recitals will feature piano works by Bach, Barber, Beethoven, Chopin, Glinka-Balakirev, Kapustin, Lecuona, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Moszkowski, Mozart, and Schumann.

There are three recitals in the series on Tuesdays, April 4, April 11, and April 18 from 6:30-7:30PM at the Oxford Community Arts Center.

The recital series started in 2013 with sponsorship by the Miami University Institute for Learning in Retirement and the Oxford Community Arts Center. It has continued annually except for 2020 and 2021 when the pandemic prevented live performances. Last year, the studio resumed this project. The students are excited and are looking forward to sharing their performances with the community. This year marks the ninth year that the studio has presented the series.
