CEC students learn Agile methodology from leading industry company
The Agile workshop was held on Jan. 28, during the first week of classes, over Zoom. The presentation was hosted by two employees from FIS Global, a Fintech (financial technology) production company.

Four CEC students receive Swagelok Scholarship
Over Miami University’s January-term, eight students were awarded scholarships from the manufacturing company Swagelok. Four of those students are in CEC!

Mechanical engineering students receive undergraduate research award
Senior mechanical engineering students Zhicheng Rong and Chang Liu recently received a research award for their work in collaboration with Dr. Yingbin Hu. The undergraduate research award comes from the Office of Research for Undergraduates (ORU) and is given to students on an application basis.

Two students receive Menditto Scholarship
The scholarship, endowed by alumni Jim and Jane Menditto, is given annually to undergraduate students in the MME department who have demonstrated high academic performance, as well as achievement outside the classroom.

RAPIDS grant enhances MME classrooms
Earlier this year, CEC received the "Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills (RAPIDS)" award from Ohio's Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to help support our new Robotics program.
