The CSE department boasted over 15 winners of various scholarships and awards this past year. Many of those students are enrolled in the combined bachelor's and master's computer science program. Read below to learn more about three of these talented students in the CSE department!
Dr. Douglas Coffin, professor in the Chemical, Paper and Biomedical Engineering department, recently won the 2021 William H. Aiken Prize for Research and Development, the TAPPI Journal Best Research Paper Award and the Paper Science & Engineering Foundation (PSEF) Miami Partnership Award.
Lexie Adams, a senior chemical engineering major, plans to attend Stanford University to continue studying chemical engineering. Her decision to attend Stanford comes just after finding out she is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program award winner.
Dr. Karen Davis, an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSE), recently won Miami University's Outstanding Faculty for Student Success Award.
Dr. Eric Rapos, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, recently received one of 24 faculty research awards, which is given out by the Committee on Faculty Research (CFR) here at Miami University.
