Employee Information

As we begin the Fall semester, we are again facing challenges that will require us to adjust quickly as CDC Guidance and State of Ohio directives change. We will continue to communicate regularly to provide guidelines and information that you can use to promote healthy practices and a safer environment for co-workers, students, and any others who may come to campus.

Weekly updates will be provided in a Wednesday email from the COVID Response Team.

Guiding Principles

These principles and protocols for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic are focused on the health of our faculty, staff, students, and the public with whom we interact.

Miami’s practices are aligned and consistent to the extent practicable with the orders and guidelines of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the State of Ohio, the ACHA (American College Health Association), and Miami’s Safe Return to Campus Committee. In some instances, our response is governed by applicable Ohio law. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based public health guidance. A high vaccination rate increases the opportunities for a more full return to all activities. We continue to strongly urge all those who are able to get vaccinated.

Your Wellbeing

In addition to the portion of the website that details “Your Miami Benefits During the Current Pandemic,” Your Healthy Miami account offers a COVID-19 Relief Kit to full-time employees.  The kit contains activities and a variety of resources to assist employees with subjects like nutrition, staying active, and keeping calm.

Miami University offers employees the following programs to assist employees in handling anxiety and stress:

Impact Solutions (EAP) Employee Assistance Program

Impact Solutions offers a wide variety of resources and services in addition to telephonic mental/behavioral health counseling. This benefit is available to ALL full-time and part-time Miami employees including anyone living within the household (i.e. foster children, grandparents, in-laws, etc.). Go to MyImpactSolution.com, enter “Miamioh” or contact Impact Solutions 24/7 by calling 800-227-6007.

LiveHealth Online Psychology/Psychiatry
