Proposal Deadlines

The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion serves as the main conduit for Heritage and History Month Programming at Miami University. In collaboration with faculty, staff, and student partners we systemically foreground programming that educates our community about historical legacies and experiences and celebrates a diverse array of cultures and identities. As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline the planning and collaboration process, we have developed a Heritage Programming Fund application form. The form can be used by faculty, staff, and students to propose programming for Miami University connected to each of the heritage and history months. Programming that appeals to multiple units or populations is strongly encouraged. Funding is available for programming for each of the history and heritage months listed on this webpage. While funding is limited, all proposals received by the deadline will be considered. The Vice President of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion and the Heritage and History Month Programming Committee will evaluate proposals.

Current history and heritage months included for programming are listed. We welcome suggestions. While all proposals will be considered, priority will be given to those received by the priority deadline.
