Research Areas

There are three strands of my research which relate specifically to equity and social justice. First, my research broadly interrogates how educational policies further marginalize students and educators in underserved schools. Second, I apply critical policy analysis in order to bridge critical theory and both quantitative and qualitative methods. Third, when appropriate, my research includes the consideration of queer theoretical perspectives as well as the representation and consideration of LGBTQ+ individuals within educational research and policy.
