The Department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry has a unique opportunity that connects first-year Primary PK-5 majors with advanced students in the program who have a variety of academic experiences and knowledge for peer advising. The TCE/EDT Peer Advisors are juniors and seniors currently enrolled in the major who offer a unique perspective and a more individualized advising option for first-year PK-5 students. 

Peer advisors can: 

1. assist their peers in understanding Primary PK-5 program requirements
2. explain registration processes and resources
3. assist in choosing appropriate courses for future semesters
4. connect students to TCE/EDT or campus resources
5. answer general questions about the major or Miami University in general
6. serve as good listeners and offer ideas as appropriate
