M.Ed. without Licensure

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education program designed for students who either hold an existing Ohio K-12 Mild-Moderate Intervention Specialist teaching license or students who may be seeking alternative licensure through the State of Ohio. The 4 courses listed below are required. An additional 18 hours may be comprised of special education, autism spectrum disorders, literacy, or other courses. A specific course plan of study is developed with, and approved by a departmental advisor.  It may be completed in 2 years as a part-time student. Students may also enroll in the program full-time. M.Ed. students are allowed 5 full years to complete their degree from the date of their program commencement.

Credit hour requirements: 30

EDP 651: Educational Research
EDP 667: Behavioral Statistics I
EDP 652: Educational Research Practicum

Additional 18 credit hours will be selected in association with the program advisor.
