Career Fair Follow-up Information

Day of Schedule

  • 10:00 am – Employer Check-In begins (Millett West Entrance, adjacent to large parking lot)
  • 11:00 am - 1:00 pm – Lunch available in the Gross Athletic Center (Millett East Entrance, across the small parking lot)
  • 12:00 pm – Career Fair begins
  • 2:30 pm - 3:30pm – Snacks available in outdoor Employer tents (Millett East and West Entrances)

Mask Requirements and Safety Protocols

  • Miami University requires mask coverings indoors at all times, regardless of vaccination status. 
  • You are limited to two representatives, per table.
  • This is a handshake-free event
  • Staggered starts by class year:

    • 12:00 pm – seniors
    • 1:00 pm – juniors
    • 2:00 pm – sophomores

Your Online Profile

The information you provided during registration is used in our Career Fair promotions and will be available to students online before the fair.  Please take a moment to review this information; if changes are needed, please contact me directly ( careerfairs@miamioh.edu ). To make stronger connections with students, it’s important to:

  • upload jobs and internships that you are actively recruiting for, and 
  • make sure that your organization’s profile is complete.

Getting to Oxford

Parking

During the fair, parking is permitted in the west parking lot of Millett Hall (no permit required on 9/21 or 9/22).  For activities and events before and after the fair, you are required to register your car in advance of your visit . Your available parking options and instructions are:

  • There are two parking garages available. To exit the garage at no cost, scan the parking permit barcode.
  • To use the reserved spaces outside Shideler Hall (near Armstrong), display the permit on your car dashboard; IMPORTANT, you must write in your license plate number for the permit to be valid.
  • You are permitted to park in any of the designated red parking spaces without needing to print/display your parking permit.

The Career Center is not permitted to overturn parking violations for our guests. If you believe your ticket is eligible for an appeal, you may submit an appeal form at MiamiOH.edu/Parking/Citations. 

Shipping Materials

You are welcomed to send materials in advance of the fair (beginning September 8th). All materials must arrive no later than September 17th. The address is:

For return shipping, you must have an appropriate, COMPLETED mailing label attached to your return shipment.  Please note, if you are shipping via FedEx Ground, it may take an extra day for pickup, since FedEx Ground will not pick up the same day. 

Attendees and Box Lunches

By September 3rd, please provide us with names of representatives who will be participating in the fair.

Boxed lunches are provided and will be available beginning at 11:00 am. As a reminder, lunch for up to two representatives, per table is included in the cost of the fair registration. Please advise if a member of your team has dietary restrictions on or before September 7.

Interviews

Due to the need to provide additional space, we will not offer Next Day Interviews in Millett Hall.  If you wish to host campus interviews before or after the fairs, you may schedule via Handshake.  Space is available in the Center for Career Exploration and Success (Armstrong Student Center) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation / Reimbursement of Fees

If you find it necessary to cancel your registration, we understand completely. However, in order for your registration fee to be reimbursed or cancelled in full (less processing fee), you must advise us no later than Wednesday, September 7th.
