A Night with Marcus Samuelsson

Miami University President Gregory P. Crawford and the Center for Career Exploration and Success are proud to present A Night with Marcus Samuelsson: A Career of Chasing Flavors. This Presidential Career and Leadership Series program will take place on Wednesday, March 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Armstrong Student Center’s Harry T. Wilks Theater.

Samuelsson, an internationally acclaimed chef and television personality, will participate in a keynote presentation and a question-and-answer session. 

Registration is encouraged for this PCLS event, which features open seating. The Wilks Theater doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

A book signing will take place during a reception in the Armstrong Student Center Atrium directly following the program. At the reception, guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and beverages.

Samuelsson is the owner of many restaurants, including Red Rooster Harlem, MARCUS Montreal, and Marcus B&P. He was the youngest person to receive a three-star review from The New York Times and has won multiple James Beard Foundation Awards. In addition, he was tasked with planning and executing the Obama Administration’s first State Dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Samuelsson has been a fixture on television. He was crowned Top Chef Masters and Chopped All-Stars champion and was the winning mentor on The Taste. For his work on No Passport Required, he received the James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Personality. He is also an executive producer of Viceland’s HUSTLE.

Samuelsson will sign books in the Armstrong Atrium directly following the program. During this reception, you will also be treated to hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and beverages.
