First- and Second-Year Student Success Advocate
Nancy Stewart

As a single point of contact for incoming and second-year students, Nancy provides assistance to overcome barriers to academic success. Nancy is also part of the Student Success Center's rapid response program, proactively providing student support at critical times.
Before she became a Success Advocate, Nancy was Director of Academic Support for Miami student athletes in Intercollegiate Athletics. She also taught college composition and literature for eight years at the University of Maryland and Ohio State University, among others.
Nancy earned her BA in English at Miami and masters degrees from St. John's College and Ohio State University.
Third- and Fourth-Year Student Success Advocate

As a Student Success Advocate for third and fourth-year students, Monica helps students persist to their fourth year and ultimately earn their degree from Miami. Monica is also the Bridges Scholars program coordinator.
Monica was previously Vice President for College Access and Success Programs at Cincinnati Youth Collaborative and Director of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Dayton and the College of Mount St. Joseph.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration at Miami. She holds a master's degree in Public Administration and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Cincinnati.
