Where do you currently work?
I am an Economics PhD student at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
How do you think having a MA degree from Miami has benefited you in your current job?
Having a MA degree from Miami was a great preparation for the economic PhD program. I was able to strengthen my PhD application profile. It also helped me make a smooth transition to the PhD program.
Do you use what you learned from your time in the MA program at your current job? If so, how? If not, how did you use it in a previous position?
Yes, I do. I learned economic theory and computing skills in the MA program. As an economic PhD student, I use them everyday.
Is there anything about Miami or the Economics department that you know will always stick with you?
I am grateful to the professors for their support and guidance. They were always there whenever I needed them. I also appreciate the financial support from Miami University.
