Miami graduates have launched and/or ran seven unicorn companies (companies with $1+ billion valuation) since 2009, including Uber (Ryan Graves, Board Member and Global COO, and Rebecca Messina, Global CMO), Credit Karma (Nichole Mustard, Co-Founder and CTO), MongoDB and DoubleClick (Dwight Merriman, Co-Founder and Chairman), Twitter (Adam Bain, COO), Instagram (Marne Levine, COO), and GoHealth (Clint Jones, Co-Founder and CEO, and Brandon Cruz, Co-Founder and President).

649 Miami graduates have launched and/or run 112 venture-backed high-growth companies, and those companies have raised $6.1 billion in funding in 237 venture deals since 2009.

In 2012, Gregory Van Kirk was recognized as Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year by the World Economic Forum.

In 2018, Forbes named Michael Markesbery and Rithvik Venna, Co-Founders of OROS, to its 30 Under 30 list of Top Disruptive Entrepreneurs in the U.S.

Today, almost 2,500 Miami graduates self-identify as a startup founder or co-founder on LinkedIn, and more than 300 Miami graduates currently work in venture capital and/or private equity.
