Application Procedures
Applicants who have completed their bachelor's degree need to complete the Graduate School online application, and pay the $50 application fee. Applicants will need the following to complete their application:
- 4-year baccalaureate degree (non-business) from an accredited institution
- Unofficial college transcript – a 3.25 grade point average is recommended
- Resume
- Two letters of recommendation
- Personal statement about your interest in the program
Students will need a set of prerequisites to enter the program. Students lacking these prerequisites, however, can still apply and be admitted into the program based on the strength of their application. Miami will offer all of the prerequisite courses online in the summer prior to entry. Students must earn at least a C in all prerequisite courses to continue in the program.
Standardized test scores are optional for all applicants, but can be reported and may be requested to be provided.
3+1 Combined Degree Program
Miami students wishing to complete both a bachelor's and master's degree in 4 years must also complete the Graduate School online application, and pay the $50 application fee, but be sure to check "combined program." Combined program applicants will need the following to complete their application:
- Copy of your DAR
- Resume
- Personal statement.
Program Cost
The program costs $995/credit hour or $29,850 for the entire 30-credit hour program. This cost includes all university fees except for healthcare. The 2020-21 student health plan costs $1,636.
International Students
The Miami MSBA Program welcomes those applicants who are citizens from countries outside the United States. The MSBA programqualifies as an Optional Practical Training Extension for STEM Students (STEM OPT) designated program, allowing international students to extend their training in the United States by 24 months after graduation.
The quality of a student's learning depends upon active oral participation in his/her classes as well as composing written assignments. To ensure the highest quality learning experience for international students, they are required to submit scores from the TOEFL or IELTS in order to evaluate proficiency in reading and listening skills. The minimum total acceptable TOEFL score is 95, while the minimum acceptable IELTS score is a 7.
