Client Based Projects

Student project teams work directly with human capital corporate professionals in several classes, including MGT474 Human Capital Consulting and MGT406 Talent Acquisition and Development.  The goal of these assignments is for students to apply Human Capital Management and Leadership concepts learned during their academic career at Miami to the real-world challenges and opportunities faced by their client companies.

Case Competitions

Students have multiple opportunities to participate in case competitions.  These are invaluable learning experiences as the students can apply what they have learned across various courses.  For example, in the past, students participated in the National Diversity Case Competition held at Indiana University in Bloomington.

Study Abroad

HCML faculty routinely lead student groups abroad where students take MGT 291 – Introduction Management and Leadership.  This course is required for all FSB students.  Recent trips have visited Australia, Italy, and Spain, among other locations.  The locale of the program changes yearly, so please contact the study abroad office or Dr. Huang for more information.
