Student-Company Projects

Each semester, students of MGT 432 are divided into groups to collaborate with companies that have a track record of supporting the supply chain program on a project that is either something they’re considering or an internal study that they have conducted in the past. Firms that have supported MGT 432 include (but not limited to):

DHL (Formerly Exel)
MES Inc.
Mercy Health

In the past several years, we have asked our project partners to ensure that their projects are specifically relevant to purchasing and strategic sourcing topics, rather than any supply chain topic. These include supplier selection decisions, consolidating/centralizing purchasing spending, category studies, project lifecycle analyses, cost of ownership estimation, and product packaging. Other supply chain topics that have been used in the past include warehouse heatmapping, global logistics routing, 5S implementation, and more.
