Yonsei (Wonju Campus)

Yonsei University - Wonju Campus was founded in 1977 as a second campus to Yonsei University’s Seoul campus. Located in the city of Wonju, about 60 miles east of Seoul, Yonsei –Wonju is home to approximately 7,000 students. The 500-acre campus is surrounded by a dense forest and a beautiful lake, while featuring highly-equipped facilities, great cultural diversity and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. It is approximately 30 minutes to a renowned ski resort in Asia and an hour to the East coast. Public transportation allows for quick trips to Seoul during weekends.

Exchange students will participate in the Global Village (GV) Program, which includes a volunteer/internship program, cultural activities, and living in an international dormitory while taking English-taught courses. All activities in the GV program are conducted in English, and exchange students will have the opportunity to interact with other international students around the world, learn about Korean culture, and make friends with Korean students. Korean students will also be able to experience Western culture as they interact closely with the exchange students.

Native English-speakers will serve as English language tutors and will receive a 3,000,000 won/semester stipend and free housing in the GV Dormitory.
