Program Snapshot

FSB at Sea is a three-phase program: Pre-trip preparation, travel on a cruise ship through the Caribbean, and the final week of instruction in Oxford. Students will take two courses, MGT 302 (a core course) and MKT435 (marketing major/minor course; professional elective for ACC majors), for a total of six hours that meets the Miami Plan Global Requirement as well. The program itinerary includes visits to several ports-of-call. Plus, the ship will pass through the NEW locks of the Panama Canal. Learn about Supply Chain and Operations Management first hand on the ship as well as at each port. Also learn about branding and see how it applies to the cruise and hospitality industries.

  • Locations: Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Falmouth, Jamaica; Cartagena, Columbia; Panama City, Panama; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Limon, Costa Rica; and Oxford, OH
  • Credits: 6
  • Courses: MGT 302 (3 cr) and MKT 435 (3 cr)
  • Pre-requisites: DSC 205 or ISA 205 or ISA 225 or STA 261 or STA 261H or STA 261S or STA 301 or STA 361 or STA 368 or ISA 203 required for MGT 302 and MKT 291 for MKT 435 – 2.50 by August 2018, MKT 291 by December 2018.

  • Housing: Cruise ship and hotel when traveling; student’s Oxford residence last week of program

  • Program Fee: $2,800 plus tuition, (tuition is subject to change) - 6 credit hours
  • Pre-Departure Meetings: Six Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in FSB 0038
