C.J. Walker named student speaker at FSB divisional ceremony

Senior economics major Christopher J. Walker has been selected to be the student speaker at the Farmer School of Business Divisional Recognition Ceremony at Millett Hall on May 15.

Walker, who is also majoring in mathematics and statistics, is a student fellow in the Isaac & Oxley Center for Business Leadership and a former co-president of the Multicultural Business Association. Walker also won the American Economic Association’s 2021 Andrew Brimmer Essay competition.

“I am extremely humbled and honored to be selected to be the student speaker at commencement. I am very thankful for this opportunity, and I appreciate everyone, especially the faculty and staff of the business school, for their advocacy and guidance to get me here,” Walker said.

He was selected as one of Poets & Quants for Undergrads’ Best and Brightest of the class of 2022. After graduation, Walker will work as a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
