Departmental Notes:

  • Students must earn a 2.00 GPA in BLS 442, all FIN courses, and all GEO courses (including electives) in the Real Estate major to graduate.
  • FIN 301 and 303 should be taken concurrently
  • Recommended that students take GEO 201 as Diversity/IP course to meet prerequisites for GEO courses required in the major.
  • Fall-Only courses: BLS 443, GEO 451
  • Spring-Only courses: GEO 454, GEO 459
  • Students also completing the Finance major must take 18 hours of Real Estate coursework which will not apply to the Finance major.
  • FIN 331 and FIN 431 may not be used as FIN electives for the Finance major if pursuing Finance and Real Estate double major.
  • The GEO 1 thematic sequence and the Urban and Regional Analysis Minor are not open to Real Estate majors.

General Requirements:

  • Must earn 124 hours to graduate; minimum of 52 hours of non-business coursework required.
  • 2.0 GPA overall and 2.0 GPA in business required to graduate.
  • FSB students must select a non-business thematic sequence (some exceptions - consult your advisor).
  • Pre-requisite information available in the Miami Bulletin.
  • Diversity courses may meet GMP Intercultural Perspectives.
  • First-Year Integrated Core (BUS 101, BUS 102, ESP 103, BUS 104) satisfies GMP Experiential Learning.
  • BUS/ENG 284 fulfills Advanced Writing
