Farmer School students who have been accepted into the Miami University Academic Scholars Program may elect to participate in the Farmer School of Business Scholars program. Scholars enjoy numerous benefits exclusive to the Scholars community. These benefits include personalized professional development workshops, academic and career advising, interaction with visiting business executives, interaction with Farmer School administrators, and guaranteed membership in one of the Farmer School of Business’ elite programs, including:

Leadership & Community Service Scholars

Students in this track will have interaction with the new Center for Business Leadership (CBL) in the Farmer School. Workshops offered will focus on service leadership with an emphasis on individual- and team-focused vision for developing students’ authentic, values-based leadership. Students will have the opportunity to explore issues surrounding ethics and value based leadership. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in programs such as Junior Achievement.  Through various assessments, interactions with the best business leaders, and practical leadership experience, you will build on the knowledge of your own leadership style, transforming you into a more effective business leader.

Creativity Scholars in Business will comprise a distinct, selective cohort within the larger context of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and will enjoy additional unique, guaranteed benefits, including an internship reporting to the Creative Director in a regional firm and a specifically designed creativity course in the United States and/or abroad to work with and be mentored by some of the leading creative business practitioners.
