About USLS

Global Initiatives has sponsored engaged student leaders with an interest in global humanitarian issues to participate in the Humanitarian Affairs University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS). This symposium brings together 1000+ college students and youth leaders from around the world to debate, discuss, and act on issues of global humanitarian concern.Check out the video from USLS 2019, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! Delegates attend conference-style sessions, connect with peers at networking events, and participate in an all-day service project in the conference location (typically in Southeast Asia).

Application Process

Global Initiatives hopes to be able to resume sending a Miami delegation to USLS in August 2022. The date that pplications will open is TBD.

Basic requirements: 2.5+GPA, junior or senior status, and demonstrated interest in global issues.
