Virtual Global Learning projects unite students from all over the world by partnering faculty from international institutions. Two or more faculty work together to develop a module, course, or program that transcends borders and provide a common learning experience for students worldwide. Virtual Global Learning projects typically involve digital technology to enhance teaching and learning.

• Connect a class virtually to a class at a partner institution abroad that has similar content or can help explore the place(s). This could include guest lectures from professors at the partner institution, videos of local events or places produced by students at the partner institution, or video tours of significant sites in the partner country. Miami students can reciprocate with content from our campus and community.
• Connect classes from different disciplines by developing joint projects. This can be as small as requiring that students get into small groups to have scheduled conversations with their peers abroad and write reflective essays about those interactions, or as large as having the students work in small groups on an extended course project (e.g., writing a small business proposal together, identifying a social problem across their borders and composing a report suggesting a solution, etc.).
• Combine these two, with smaller focused projects and some content originating from abroad.
