Housing

Miami University requires all new undergraduate students who are beginning their studies in the U.S. for the first time to live in a residence hall during their first two years of study. This way, you can make new friends and more easily become involved in campus life. You can view more information about the First Year and Second Year Residency Requirements on the Campus Service Center webpage. Additionally, see more information about Residence Hall Housing Rates.

Students who are living on-campus should submit their Residence Hall and Meal Plan Contract.

Students living on-campus will be receiving their room assignments via email. For questions about housing or your room assignment, please visit Campus Service Center.

A nightly fee which ranges from $30.00 - $45.00 will be placed on your account from the day you arrive until the date your housing contract takes effect. All new students (including domestic students) must pay this early arrival room charge until their housing contract takes effect.

Please see Frequently Asked Questions about housing for useful information as you prepare for your journey to Miami.

Linens/Bedding

  • Students who ordered bedding, lamps, and other things from the Stuff4MyRoom program will have those items ready in their rooms when they arrive.
  • In the afternoon of the pick up day, a bus will be provided to transport students to and from Walmart giving students the opportunity to buy bedding, food, and other essentials. Please ask iPOLs (International Peer Orientation Leaders) for more information.
