The International Student Online Orientation Program is mandatory for all new students. The orientation program includes vital information and activities for your success as a student at Miami University:

  • Check-in with International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) to confirm your arrival to Miami University (required by the U.S. government) and obtain your Miami ID card which gives you access to your residence hall (if living on campus), recreational sports center, campus events, library resources, and more.
  • Meet ISSS staff, learn what services they provide, and meet your international peer orientation leader (iPOL) virtually
  • Learn about important immigration rules and regulations necessary for maintaining your legal status in the U.S.
  • Learn about academic life at Miami and register for classes
  • Complete your mandatory TB (Tuberculosis) Testing at the Student Health Services Center. ISSS staff and iPOLs will assist with scheduling TB appointment during ISSS check-in.
  • Gain knowledge of campus and community resources related to health and safety, campus policies, academic supplemental instruction and tutoring and more
