Move In — Various Locations
New international students can move into their University housing. (Please note that an early move-in fee will be charged until the day the housing contract starts). Those living in off-campus housing should also plan to be moved in on this day (check lease agreement and confirm with property management for move-in date).

1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Bus Trips to Walmart — Shriver Center Bus Stop
Students will have the opportunity to shop at Walmart for room necessities, groceries, or anything else that is needed. Buses will depart from the bus stop on Maple Street at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Buses will return from Walmart at 3:00 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.

Orientation Welcome — Shriver Center John Dolibois Room
The International Student Orientation program begins with a welcome from International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) staff and International Peer Orientation Leaders (iPOLs). Students will receive an overview of the orientation program.
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Small Groups with iPOLs: Set Expectations and Tech Talk — Various and Kreger Hall
Students will be separated into small groups with their assigned iPOLs and peers. Groups will meet to discuss questions and expectations while looking ahead to life at Miami. iPOLs will make sure students can access various Miami systems and complete required tasks.

Students may use this time to complete important tasks. You may also choose to set up your room or relax!

International Student Advisers will be checking students' immigration documents to ensure that all documentation was processed properly at the Port of Entry. Please bring your original documents: Passport, Visa, and I-20 or DS-2019.

Integrating Your Academic and Student Life — Armstrong Student Center, 3rd Floor Pavilion
Learn from a panel of Miamians about how to make the most of your experience at Miami University. Prepare for upcoming orientation activities.

Medical Check, Testing, and Wellness Visit — Student Health Services, Harris Hall
Please report to Student Health Services for a required tuberculosis (TB) test and COVID-19 test promptly at the time listed. Please bring your passport, student ID, and all vaccination records with you. If you are under the age of 18, be sure to bring your consent form signed by a parent or guardian. Note that the TB test will include a blood draw, so please drink plenty of water in advance and wear a short-sleeve shirt to the event. Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about health insurance, wellness at Miami, and visit the Recreation Center.

Open Ice Skate at Goggin (optional) — Goggin Ice Center
Skate around the ice at your own pace for $5 with student ID, includes skate rental.

Join student leaders, orientation staff, and other new students for board games and karaoke.
