Please note this is a general overview of the orientation schedule for new undergraduate international students. Your individualized orientation schedule is available in InterLink (if you have submitted Arrival Confirmation and Document Upload eform.)
- Log in to InterLink with Miami Unique ID and Password
- Navigate to the left side menu and choose “Admission and Orientation.”
- Select “Request Orientation Schedule”

Orientation Check-In
Orientation check-in will take place on August 12th at 8:30 a.m. in Shriver Center, John Dolibois Room. If you arrive after this time, please come to the International Student Center (ISC) in MacMillan 017 to check-in, confirm your arrival, and receive orientation materials. The ISC is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the weekend of August 13/14.

Dining Hours
Review on-campus dining hours of operation in summer and off-campus dining options.
ID Card
Pick up your Miami University ID card. Your ID provides access to residence halls, meal plans, the recreation center, and library resources. Bring a photo ID with you (e.g. passport).
- August 10-11: Pick up at the International Student Center in MacMillan Room 017. Note: If you have purchased a ticket for the Airport Hotel Shuttle, you will receive your Miami ID card at check-in.
- August 12: Pick up during breakfast and welcome session in Shriver Center
- August 13 or later: Pick up at the Campus Services Center in Nellie Craig Walker Room 34. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the weekend of August 13 and 14.

Thursday Bus Trip to Walmart — Miami Station D Bus Stop on Maple St. by Shriver Center
Students have the opportunity to shop at Walmart for room necessities, groceries, or anything else that is needed. Buses will depart from the bus stop on Maple Street at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Buses will return from Walmart at 3:00 p.m., 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Be careful to not miss the final bus back from Walmart!

Breakfast and Welcome Session* — Shriver Center John Dolibois Room
The International Student Orientation program begins with a welcome from International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) staff and International Peer Orientation Leaders (iPOLs). Students will receive an overview of the orientation program. Students are welcome to enjoy a complimentary breakfast together.
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
iPOL Tech Talk and Small Group* — Start at Shriver Center, John Dolibois Room
Students will be separated into small groups with their assigned International Peer Orientation Leader (iPOL) and peers. iPOLs will demonstrate how to navigate various Miami systems and make sure students complete required tasks.
Please check your Miami email after August 8th for the name and contact information of your iPOL.
10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Family Lunch and Campus Tour — Shriver Center, John Dolibois Room
Parents and family members can meet with University staff to take a tour of campus and then enjoy lunch while learning more about the Miami experience. The Director of Parent and Family Programs will give a brief presentation and answer questions.
1:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Campus Tour Part 1* — Meet at location shared by your iPOL
Meet with your iPOL small group to take a tour of campus. Please check with your iPOL for meeting locations. iPOLs will guide students around campus and explore Armstrong Student Center, Student Health Center, Recreation Center and other places of interest.
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Complete Important Tasks — Various Locations
Students who have completed the English speaking test over the summer may use this time to complete important tasks. You may also choose to relax!

Enjoy a local market of farmers, bakers, and craftsmen located in Oxford’s scenic Uptown area near restaurants, coffee shops and the park's fountain.

Medical Check and TB Testing* — Student Health Service, 500 Harris Drive
Please report to Student Health Services at the time listed on your individualized schedule for a wellness assessment and required tuberculosis (TB) test. Clinicians will also help students to complete the immunization records form and schedule any immunizations or follow-up appointments if needed.
- Please bring your passport, student ID, and all vaccination records with you.
- If you are under the age of 18, be sure to bring your consent forms signed by a parent or guardian
- Note that the TB test will include a blood draw, so please drink plenty of water in advance and wear a short-sleeve shirt to the event.

Immigration Document Check* — MacMillan Hall 214
Please report to the Document Check location promptly at the time listed on your individualized schedule.
International Student Advisers will be checking students' immigration documents to ensure that all documentation has been processed properly at the Port of Entry.
- Make sure you completed the Arrival Confirmation & Document Upload e-form in InterLink prior to your scheduled document check.
- Bring your original documents (not copies): Passport, Visa, and I-20 or DS-2019. If you have previously attended school in the U.S., please bring your prior I-20s and/or DS-2019s as well.
If you are an undergraduate student and have your final high school or college transcript, please bring this documentation to submit to an Admissions representative who will be in MacMillan Hall.
