November 13th marks the start of a very exciting week here at Miami University: International Education Week. This is an initiative of the US Department of State and the US Department of Education that highlights the importance and value of international education. Miami University's mission to “promote a diverse culture of inclusion, integrity, and collaboration” is celebrated during this week through an exciting lineup of activities and events.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Nathaniel Ivers, Department of Counseling at Wake Forest University as the keynote speaker this year. Dr. Ivers will speak about the topic of Living in Limbo, With Fear, and in the Shadows: Understanding and supporting undocumented immigrants.

There is a wide range of activities involved with International Education Week, so there is something for everyone! The schedule highlights all that will be going on during International Education Week right here in Oxford. Tag your photos using #IEW2017 and #MiamiOHIEW for a chance to be featured on social media. Also, follow Miami University Global Initiatives on Instagram for updates throughout the week.

Please come out to the wonderful events that are being offered in honor of international education. We hope that you found something that interests you in the lineup. See you there!
