
Domestic Application








Applicants must meet two sets of criteria:
- The Graduate School's minimum requirements for admission which are outlined below.
- If applicable, see the graduate program's website for additional program requirements which may be more rigorous.
Admission Requirements
Application
- U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will need to submit an online application. The non-refundable application fee must be paid before the application is submitted to the Graduate School. Permanent Residents will be asked to upload a copy of their Green Card along with the application.
- Individuals who have applied for a Resident Alien Card (Green Card) but have not yet received it should email ApplyGrad@miamioh.edu once you have obtained your Green Card.
Baccalaureate or Professional Degree
- A cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.00
- Applicants for graduate study must have earned at least a U.S. equivalent Baccalaureate degree. Applicants must submit their academic record/transcript. The Graduate School accepts unofficial transcripts along with the application.
- Applicants admitted to Miami University must have an official final transcript from the Baccalaureate institution and all courses attended after. Official final transcripts must be sent directly to Miami University Graduate Admission, 301 S. Campus Avenue Oxford, OH, 45056 or via Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse to Grad_Transcripts@miamioh.edu.
Supplemental Materials
- Most programs require additional application materials such as a personal statement, writing sample, or test score (e.g., GRE, GMAT). For a listing of supplemental materials, contact the Academic Program.
- If your program requires the GRE, please send official GRE score reports to Miami University Graduate School by using ETS Code 1463. If you have financial need, ETS offers reduced test fees for some students. Contact ETS for additional information.
