Faculty members seeking feedback on how to effectively include writing in their classrooms are encouraged to make an individual consultation with one of the HWAC staff members. Consultations focus on exploring the following questions:

• What do you want students to learn?
• What do you want students to be able to do with writing?
• Do you want to use writing in the classroom to facilitate learning, assess learning, or both?
• How effectively have your writing assignments accomplished these goals in the past?
