The Howe Center for Writing Excellence is happy to announce several resources and workshops that faculty can utilize to learn more about artificial intelligence and the impact it will have on instruction and learning.

With artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT taking over headlines all over the country, faculty have questions about how it will affect their instruction methods and their students’ learning. To address these concerns, the HCWE has compiled a list of resources that faculty can use to learn more about AI tools and what to expect from them as we navigate this situation. This is a running list of resources that will be updated over time, so be sure to check back periodically for more information.

In addition to online resources, the HCWE is hosting several AI workshops during the Spring 2023 semester. These workshops include:

• Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI Writing Systems: How Do We Adapt?
• ChatGPT: An Opportunity to Reflect on What You Most Value in Your Courses
• Purpose, Transparency, and Assignment Design: Strategies for Teaching with Writing in the Age of AI
