The Healthy Miami Premium Discount Program offers Miami faculty, staff, and spouses covered on Miami's health plan an opportunity to save on monthly health premiums. Depending on the number of the program's healthy steps you complete before November 15, 2017, you can save up to $720 annually per employee and spouse covered in 2018.
You can avoid the fall rush of completing steps by taking action now. Completing the steps now will mean that you will be able to see your Healthy Miami points uploaded well before the deadline.
In your online Healthy Miami account you can complete the following:
- Health Plan Provider Consent
- Tobacco Free Certification
- Personal Health Assessment
- Registration for your fasting biometric health screening
- Summer appointment slots are offered Monday-Friday, 8-11 a.m. at the Miami TriHealth Employee Clinic beginning May 15
- Ideally scheduled before your primary care physician wellness visit
Schedule and Complete:
- Fasting Biometric Health Screening (see above): Complete the Biometric Screening Consent and take it with you to your appointment.
- Preventive Cancer Screenings: Miami's health plan covers preventive cancer screenings at 100% once per calendar year. You are not required to wait a full year (365 days) between screenings.
- Primary Care Physician (PCP) Wellness visit: Ideally scheduled after your biometric screening so you can review your results with your medical provider.
New in your Healthy Miami account:
- Updated design to comply with Miami branding/compliance standards
- Ability to sync Healthy Miami steps and activity tracker with mobile fitness devices (such as Fitbit or Garmin).
- Monthly downloadable calendar with daily health tips and information
